Lying?

Is it time to add a program of study on lying to the curriculum at all levels of the education system.

Is it becoming obvious that the ability to lie is an important skill to have, in order to be successful in this country and much of the world? Would it start with the basics in elementary school, keeping a straight face-defending statements-learning to disregard truth-the importance of repeating lies?

They kept the lie going. and the people loved it. –Libba Bray

In high school, would more advanced techniques be taught, including: lie follow-ups; dealing with fact checkers; lie planning, lying for fun and profit?

College courses: Lying 101: a basic overview of lying and its importance; strategic lying, progressing as a liar, the philosophy of lying.

Would graduate school courses be developed to include such topics as: the study of great liars through-out history and how to apply their techniques, the development of a great lie, and the philosophy of lying?

How much do you lie? Are you good at it? To whom do you lie? How often do you lie to yourself? What is your opinion of liars? Has lying helped you be successful? Have been adversely affected by the lies of others?

What suggestions do you have for development of courses for the lying curriculum at any level?
