Listening to yourself?

Do we listen? Do we listen inwardly to ourselves?

How do we listen to ourselves? Are there things our mind says that comes through the subconscious? Are there things the heart tells us, if we are willing to hear it? Are there times where our body is sending a message that we may feel if we focus?

What prevents us from acting on these messages or sometimes not recognizing a message? Does our focus on performance get in the way? Is it a lack of self-awareness? Does our ego get in the way? Are we better, if we listen inwardly? Do we know ourselves best?

Is it easier, at times, to ignore our internal messages? Do our gut feelings sometimes indicate something we do not want to address? Are there physical pains or warning signs that we ignore in the hopes they will go away? Do we let thoughts and ideas drift across our minds without even noting them?

What happens when we do listen? Could a craving for a certain food indicate a body need? Could it also indicate an addiction to sugar? Does our intuition sometimes push us away from the logical solution?

Let choice whisper in your ear and love murmur in your heart. Be ready. Here comes life.” —Maya Angelou

How do you listen to your inner self? Does it require intention and attention? Do you focus on being aware or do you let it come to you? Do you value what you here from yourself?
