Do you have an inner voice that speaks to you? How long have you been hearing it? How many voices are there? How do you identify them?

If there are multiple voices, which one do you value most? To which do you respond? How do you differentiate them?
How do you influence the voice in your head? How does it influence you?

Can you change the voice in your head or at least what it is saying? From where does the voice originate? When did you become aware of it and its influence? Can you recognize the voice?
What a liberation to realize that the ‘voice in my head’ is not who I am. ‘Who am I, then?’ The one who sees that. – Eckhart Tolle
Does the voice focus on what happened? Does it question why it happened or how it happened? Is it about what happened? Does it predict the future or remind you of your limitations?
Does the voice sound warnings about what will happen? Is there a “I told you so” component to what the voice says? Is there a positive reinforcement aspect to what you hear?
Do you have conversations with the voice in your head? Are you listening to a monologue? If you have a conversation, is it an open dialogue? Is it an argument? Is it a lecture?

Do the voices in your head adversely affect your self esteem? Do they interfere with your mindful focus on what is the present? Does your inner voice control your thoughts or do you control them, despite the distraction of the inner voice? How? Is your inner voice a friend or an adversary?
