YET?

YET! Is it one of the most underappreciated words in the English language?

Is it one of the most powerful of words? Do these three letters have the power to change the meaning of a sentence or the intent of a statement? Can they change mindsets?

Does the inclusion of yet, change the perspective from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset? Does yet imply a hope for future growth and even a determination to accomplish something? Is the word in a sense transformational?

An impossibility is just a possibility you don’t understand yet.”–Matt Haig

What mindset change does a child gain from saying “I can’t do that, yet,” instead of “I can’t do that”?

Does it also not serve as an indication that a journey is not over? Does this apply to any journey from a drive across town to a life changing transformation or anything in-between?

Does the admission of “not” in front of yet increase the transformational power of the word and add emphasis?

Is yet a word you use frequently? Why? Is it often in response to questions about “can you do something, or have you done something?

Can you explain your usage of the word “yet”? How often do you use it? Please share in the comments section.
