What leads people to retreat into a comfort zone? Is it safer in a comfort zone? Why?



Why is it scary to step out of our comfort zones? From a retrospective perspective are we not often pleased that we did? While the risk may vary, is there often a fear of leaving our comfort zone or maybe a fear of finding what lies beyond it? Is it safer to pull-up the covers and stay in bed, than to embrace the day as it begins to unfold? Is it safer to put-up with a situation, rather than trying to change it?
