Comfort Zone?

Is a comfort zone really a place of comfort? Are comfort zones reality escapes? Could they be hiding places? Is a comfort zone a great place to foster procrastination?

Is it true that one must leave their comfort zone to achieve success? Is some success possible in the comfort zone?

Sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zones. We have to break the rules. And we have to discover the sensuality of fear. We need to face it, challenge it, dance with it”–Kyra Davis

What leads people to retreat into a comfort zone? Is it safer in a comfort zone? Why?

Why is it scary to step out of our comfort zones? From a retrospective perspective are we not often pleased that we did? While the risk may vary, is there often a fear of leaving our comfort zone or maybe a fear of finding what lies beyond it? Is it safer to pull-up the covers and stay in bed, than to embrace the day as it begins to unfold? Is it safer to put-up with a situation, rather than trying to change it?

What is your relationship with your comfort zones? Do you stay comfortable, or do you jump into the fear zone? Do you believe that fear can lead to learning and then to growth? Do you prefer comfort or growth?
