Thinking?

Do most people prefer to think for themselves? Does it seem that many prefer to be told what they think? Or maybe to be told what they “should” think?

Why do so many abdicate their right to think, by blindly following the thoughts of others with little regard for their own perspectives? Do we not have the right to think for ourselves?

As we are constantly bombarded with outside influences, how do we filter what gets through for our consideration? Is it a constant battle to strain-out the negative and the non-important? Is it worth the effort?

What is thinking? What happens when we really think? Is it often scary to really think for ourselves? Does it sometimes bring up demons we prefer to avoid? Often do we find that is beneficial to face those demons?

Is it worth the effort to pause, reflect, and think for yourself? Is it easier and safer to accept the common view, especially on matters of importance?

Who is in charge of your thinking? Do you exercise your right to think for yourself? Do you have safeguards to filter access to your mind or is it open territory?
