Travel?

What is the purpose of travel? Is it to learn? Is it to see things? Is it to change things? Is it to “experience”? Is it a chance to reflect? Is it all of these and more?

Would it be a good idea to define the purpose before embarking on a journey? Or not? Might the purpose or the focus change during that journey?

What excites people about travel? Is the chance to see something different a major attraction? What about getting away from our normal life? Are we attracted to the idea of exposure to different cultures?

Whether our travel is to a different city, a different country or a distant continent is it intriguing to see and meet people in their own environment?

How will our excitement for travel be enhanced by visits to other planets?

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things”–Henry Miller

What do we take back from our travels? Does what we see and what we learn change us or could it change us? Do some people view it as a “fun trip”, but not something to spark learning and growth? Is this a product of our mindset, be it growth or fixed?

How has travel affected you? Do you focus on the destination or the journey? What is your favorite part of travel? Are you a different person, when you return from a trip?
