WORRY?

Random questions about worry!

Is worry really one of the favorite pastimes of many or even most people? If not a favorite, is it, at least, a primary focus for many? Why? 

What does worry do? What are the positive effects of worry? Are there positive effects? What are the negative effects? Do some seem to love to worry? If most of what we worry about never happens, is it worth the effort?

How do we learn to worry? Do we improve our worry skills over time? Is that a good thing?

If we all worry to a certain extent, what leads to excessive worry, which dominates our thinking and becomes obsessive? Is the real problem about this excessive or constant worry?

Is worry all about the future, “what might happen”? Can we worry over the past? Is worry often about the current moment, “what is happening now”?

Does stress cause worry? Does worry create stress? 

Do you consider yourself a worrier? If so, what type of things cause you to worry? Do you worry about people? What might happen in the future? What people might think?Do you want to be good at worrying? Or would you prefer to be bad at it, because you would like to not worry obsessively?
