Is the ability to see people as they are, one of the talents that children and dogs share? Is it true that children, dogs and some other animals sense the B.S. and withdraw from those people who exemplify phoniness? Is it also true that they develop a trust in those who are sincere and authentic?

At midnight, as the ball drops in Times Square and all around the world people celebrate the new year, what does that signify? Does the world change during that one second between one year and the next? Did 2024 start different from the end of 2023? If the world is basically the same, what does change?
